Sour Ink Artwork
This illustration was a personal project which was meant to depict the unfortunate pollution amongst which marine life now has to exist. The amount of waste, primarily consisting of plastic, dumped into the oceans, constructs a terribly affected ecosystem, for aquatic flora and fauna today. The depiction portrays the melancholy nature of life in a bowl, which now in contrast seems enormously more appealing than living free in a space where one cannot breathe. The murky colours communicate the compromised Watmosphere, whereas the water within the bowl, splashing out inside the deep sea, portrays a disconnect between the quality of life.
The illustration was eventually chosen by and sold to the band ‘Shoals’ to use as their album artwork.
